If you read my update from yesterday you know I had L home with me because he was sick, well, the school called me at noon yesterday to ask me to come get S, as she had threw up all over the classroom. :( So the poor little pumpkin has been laying in bed with an upset tummy and low grade fever since yesterday. Needless to say, both are home with me again today.
Yesterday was L's parent/teacher meeting and it was all good! He is a wonderful little guy with a fabulous imagination, has many friends, is always smiling and polite, just a joy to have around. The speech person will be in in a couple weeks to test him and a few others, but they said that they have been really paying attention to his speech and they don't think there is any problems. They have just noticed that when he gets excited he throws in English words, which is totally normal and fine and they have no problems understanding him, so that was good to hear.
On the bathroom front, things are moving right along. Yesterday the bricklayer came and did his thing and right after the carpenter came back and put the ceiling back in. Today the painter is suppose to come and plaster two times and them tomorrow he will be back to paint and they will be finished. They have been moving along pretty fast, but I am starting to loose my patience and just want them out so I can shower, plus with two sick kids and the dust and plaster powder..blah. They clean up after themselves every day, but there is dust in every corner of the bathroom. So give me strength to make it through these last two days! LOL
In other news, I had my Mørten's Aften dinner last night, a day late, but I forgot it was on the 10th. I haven't felt like cooking this week, so I ordered from this yummy place that does gourmet type take out. They have a set weekly menu that changes every week and this week was roast duck, homemade red cabbage, brown sauce, prunes and potatoes, plus something that I had never tried before, but according to DH is traditional, pouched apple with ribs jelly, it was all pretty damn tasty and I paid 95 kr, which is on par with what you'd pay in a restaurant, I would guess. Looking over their menus I see at the end of November they are having a "Thanksgiving" menu with turkey, sweet potatoes, mushroom gravy and cranberry sauce. I think I may have to try that one!
And lastly, fingers crossed, our TV should be in today, so can't wait for that! That is it for today, have a good one and until next time..TATA!!
