Mystery Light Show Dazzles Web

We've heard of the Northern Lights. But we've never seen anything like this. The good people of northern Norway were recently treated to quite a display. As you'll see in the video, a town was lit up with what looks like a shooting blue star that burst into a giant white spiral that then beams a ray of blue light from its center. It is beautiful and baffling. And completely mysterious.

Those who missed the Arctic show headed to the Web, causing searches on "norway spiral" to immediately surge into the stratosphere.

H1N1...

Yesterday both kids had DR. check ups, S's was just a routine check up and L had to get his 5 year vaccinations, both are doing fabulous, which is great.

After their appointment my DR. asked me if I had given any thought to the H1N1 vaccine. I had'nt really to be honest. I didn't think any of us were high risk and I just tend not to be overly worried about these types of things, well turns out that "I" am high risk, who knew??!! That in combination with the fact that both kids bring home every decease known to man, puts me in a very risky group.

Anyways, my DR. (whom I LOVE, seriously, I lucked out with this one) gave me a bunch of papers and web sites to read (she knows how much I love to Google LOL) and told me of course it is totally up to me, but she would encourage me to get it.

I spent the good part of last night reading the info and discussing it with DH (who wants me to get it because he is scared now at finding out I am high risk) and decided I am going to go ahead and get it. I am not 100% comfortable with the decision but I have young kids and I need to be around for a long while for them and if the vaccine will lessen my chances of getting it and any complications, then I guess that is a good thing.

Let me tell you though, I better not find out 10 years from now that this vaccine wasn't properly tested and every one who received it is going to start growing a second head, cause I'll be pissed, majorly pissed! LOL

This is an AD that appeared in the paper I was reading yesterday, who thought this was a good marketing idea??? LOL Seriously, only in Denmark...

Do people really fall for these???

This is the reason why I decided to seek for your assistant and cooperation to help us make claims of my father's money. As soon as I receive your positive response, I will inform my fathers lawyer so that he can reach you and explain what is expected of you in this matter.

It boggles my mind to think that anyone upon reading that would actually go ahead and contact these people!! I get these type of things all the time and they always give me a chuckle. The best one I ever received was so funny and quite a good yarn. It was from a lady, I think she was in Africa, anyways, apparently her evil aunt had killed her parents and was now trying to kill her to get her hands on her inheritance, luckily, she had transferred her inheritance out of the country to save it from the murderous aunt. She needed my help to get access to her inheritance and use it to get her fake documents so she could flee the country, thus avoiding being murdered by the affore mentioned crazy money grubbing aunt. If I choose to help her with this she would kindly reward me with half her inheritance, which was like 7 million dollars, but I must act quickly because the murderous money grubbing aunt was on to her and closing in. LOL I seriously considered sending her 10 bucks just for making me laugh my ass off!

Things that make you go Hmmmmm....

The following video of a "Danish mother" seeking the father of her child was posted on YouTube a few days ago, in very short time it received a gazillion hits and was featured in the news all around Europe...

Turns out that the video is a hoax. There was a lot of speculation on who was behind it, mono.net, Danish Tourist Board, a condom ad. I was leaning towards "condom ad" mostly because that made the most sense. I mean you could literally hear those soon to be travelers stocking up on the protection so as not to be called out on YouTube! LOL Alas though, it indeed turned out to be the Tourist Board. Really not sure what part of that video lends itself to tourism, maybe their new slogan will be "Welcome to Denmark, the place where you can get laid and forgotten about" or "Welcome to Denmark, land of the slutty drunk bimbos" LOL Honestly, what were they thinking????
